RecordShack: Original Song Lyrics
Here is a small collection of song lyrics of my own original composition (and where applicable, with a duly credited co-author)

I had been writing songs on and off in the the late seventies and early eighties, but never had a chance to do anything with them, and those compositions (good ar bad) just got thrown way, lost forever.

In recent times, I have been given the opportunity to write a few songs, and through contact with a good friend, Hitsville Chalky, actually get them recorded by professional and well known artists.

All song lyrics below have been published on various online resources, including Storymania and if you wish, you can view any of my published works there.

All lyrics have CR3 copyright certificates.

Title: 'Move In Right Away' (aka 'Fill This House With Love')
Using a modified version of the previously issued music track 'House For Sale', I initially called this song 'House For Sale' (yes, I really thought deep about that!) and then, 'Move In Right Away'. It was concieved and written by myself in March 2017, then greatly Improved by Spyder Turner on 17th April 2017, involving about 40% of the lyrics being changed. Thanks to Chalky, the song was recorded by Spyder Turner on 19th April 2017 and has been a regular feature in Chalkys DJ sets ever since. He also came up with the title 'Fill This House With Love', another line in the song (one of Spyders). Lyrics for 'Move In Right Away' (aka 'Fill This House With Love') ___________________________ Verse 1 Strolling down The avenue When this house Came into view I didn't notice Right away But this was gonna be the place to stay And on the lawn There was a sign A house for sale The latest design And next to that All dressed in blue There she was my dream come true Chorus I can see it so plain and clear I wanna spend my whole life here I wanna buy this house today I wanna move in right away Verse 2 I walked right up She smiled at me Then she asked Did I like what I see I told her yes I love the view I want the house And I want you to We got together And sealed the deal That let her know That I was real We fooled around And fell In love And now we're gonna fill this house with love Chorus I wanna buy this house today I wanna move in right away A house built for comfort, a house built for love And what I'm thinking of is filling this house with love I can see it so plain and clear I wanna move us in right away ___________________________ Copyright to be shared equally between Mick Holdsworth and Spyder Turner. Title: It's Too Late To Start All Over

Chorus It's too late to start all over Things could never be the same It's too late to start all over We'll get tired of playing the game Verse 2 I still miss you But you'll never be a part of my plan I long to kiss you It's just another thing to put in the can It's time to move to pastures new To somewhere else away from you It'll hurt to see you go But I'll survive and so will you So that's why ... Chorus It's too late to start all over Things could never be the same It's too late to start all over We'll get tired of playing the game Verse 3 One day, someday I'll have to open up this can And when that's over I'll be free to find another man And when I'm somewhere far away I'll think of you but not every day Of the times we could have had Don't think you'll make me sad And that's why ... Chorus It's too late to start all over Things could never be the same It's too late to start all over We'll get tired of playing the game Chorus It's too late to start all over Things could never be the same It's too late to start all over We'll get tired of playing the game ___________________________ Copyright Mick Holdsworth.
